Das Bürgergeld ist mit Klischees und Zerrbildern aufgeladen. Dabei ist die Gruppe der Bezieher sehr unterschiedlich und nur eine Minderheit wirklich arbeitslos. Was Experten sagen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
