Neuerliche Kritik von CDU/CSU an Bürgergelderhöhung ist scheinheilig

Die anstehende Erhöhung des Bürgergelds orientiere sich an verfassungsgemäßen Grundsätzen. Deshalb habe ihr auch CDU/CSU vor einem Jahr zugestimmt, kommentiert Volker Finthammer. Der neuerliche Streit gehe am eigentlichen Problem vorbei.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
