Fachkräftemangel und demographischer Wandel: Die deutsche Wirtschaft braucht Ausländer. In einigen Branchen stellen sie mehr als ein Drittel der Arbeitskräfte. Und der Anteil steigt.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
