Scharfe Kritik an Kürzungsplänen der Bundesregierung

Die Spitzenverbände der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege zeigen sich angesichts der Kürzungsvorhaben im vorgelegten Bundeshaushalt für 2024 alarmiert. Dieser sieht für Leistungen der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege eine Kürzung von insgesamt etwa 25% vor.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
