Damit wird ein seit 2015 andauernder Trend fortgesetzt, der sich auch in der Zahl der offenen Stellen widerspiegelt, die seit 2010 angestiegen ist und mit 67.924 auf einem neuen Rekordhoch liegt.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
