Ein etwas anderer Blick auf die Landtagswahl in Bremen. Die Wahlbeteiligung nimmt mit steigender SGB II-Quote (Hartz IV) deutlich ab.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
