Gestern Milliardengewinne, heute Kurzarbeit

Am 17. Februar 2023 vermeldete Mercedes einen operativen Gewinn von 20,5 Milliarden Euro vor Steuern. Einen Tag später wurde bekannt: Für sein Werk in Bremen hat das Unternehmen ab März elf Tage Kurzarbeit angemeldet. Der Staat springt ein.

Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
