Erwerbstätigkeit älterer Menschen in Deutschland und der EU binnen zehn Jahren deutlich gestiegen

Zur Bewältigung des Fachkräftemangels wird unter anderem über eine stärkere Beteiligung älterer Menschen am Erwerbsleben diskutiert. In Deutschland und der Europäischen Union (EU) sind ältere Menschen bereits immer häufiger erwerbstätig.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
