Bürgergeld kommt zum 01. Januar 2023

Zum Jahreswechsel löst das Bürgergeld das Arbeitslosengeld II und das Sozialgeld ab – die Leistungen laufen aber ganz normal weiter. Die ab Januar 2023 erhöhten Regelbedarfe werden pünktlich und automatisiert ausgezahlt.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
