Bürgergeld im Bundestag beschlossen: Mehr als ein neuer Name

Wie wirkt sich das Bürgergeld aus? Dazu gibt es Vorurteile, Fakten und Erfahrungen aus dem Hartz-IV-System.

Die Natur ist ein Gerechtigkeitsrisiko. …

Das Schicksal teilt ungerecht aus; und es gleicht die Ungerechtigkeiten nicht immer aus. Hier hat der Sozialstaat seine Aufgabe. Er sorgt dafür, dass der Mensch reale, nicht nur formale Chancen hat. …

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
