„Sanktionen verbessern die Integrationschancen“

Deutschland gehen die Arbeitskräfte aus. Doch es gibt Strategien gegen den Personalmangel, sagt Arbeitsmarktökonom Enzo Weber (IAB). Dazu zählen längeres Arbeiten, Einwanderung und Sanktionen gegen Arbeitsunwillige.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
