Die neue Chefin der Bundesagentur für Arbeit, Andrea Nahles, fürchtet soziale Verwerfungen. Für eine mögliche Wirtschaftskrise will sie die Kurzarbeit vereinfachen. Die BA will sie zur modernsten Online-Organisation Deutschlands machen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
