„Ihre Arbeit ist von unschätzbarem Wert“

Bundesarbeitsminister Hubertus Heil richtet eine Videobotschaft an die Jobcenter. Er bedankt sich darin bei den Beschäftigten der Jobcenter für die hervorragende Arbeit und kündigt die Einführung des Bürgergelds an.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
