Der Arbeitsminister plädiert für eine weitere Entlastung kleiner und mittlerer Einkommen. Das geplante Bürgergeld soll zudem höher ausfallen als Hartz IV – wogegen die FDP bereits Widerstand angekündigt hat.

Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
