Das Berichtswesen Weiterbildung NRW ist angelegt als eine jährliche Vollerhebung aller Einrichtungen der gemeinwohlorientierten Weiterbildung in Nordrhein-Westfalen, die nach dem Weiterbildungsgesetz NRW (WbG)1 anerkannt und/oder gefördert sind.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
