Bevölkerung Deutschlands im Jahr 2020 erstmals seit 2011 nicht gewachsen

Die Entwicklung im Pandemiejahr 2020 resultiert aus zwei Faktoren: Aus einer verminderten Nettozuwanderung und einem Überschuss der Sterbefälle über die Zahl der Geburten.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
