Drei Punkte für ein gutes Einwanderungsgesetz

Asylbewerber, die einen Job haben, sollten bleiben können – doch das muss klug gestaltet werden. Zum Beispiel, indem man auch anderen Migranten die Jobsuche erleichtert. Ein Gastbeitrag von Matthias Lücke auf Zeit Online.

Matthias Lücke ist Senior Researcher am Institut für Weltwirtschaft Kiel. Er ist akademischer Co-Direktor des Projektes MEDAM, in dem Forscherinnen und Forscher sich mit Fragen der Asyl- und Einwanderungspolitik der EU und ihrer Mitgliedsstaaten befassen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
